Milford Recreation Department offering lacrosse clinic
The
Milford Recreation Department is currently accepting registrations for our
summer Lacrosse clinic held at Foran
High School.
This
camp is designed for those players new to the game and those currently playing
and looking to improve on their skills. Participants will be instructed in the
basic fundamentals of lacrosse: passing, catching, dodging, feeding and
shooting. Lectures at the end of each day will center on sportsmanship,
academic achievement and drug/alcohol abuse.
Helmets,
sticks, balls, and goals will be provided for this one week non-contact clinic.
Residents and non-residents in grades 1-9 are welcome to register for a fee of
$100.00.
The
clinic will be held Monday through Thursday, June 25 to June 28 from 9:00 am –
12:00 pm at Foran
High School on the turf
field.
Clinic
director Brian Adkins – a former Connecticut Coach of the Year – will be
assisted by current girls head coach at Branford High School,
Jackie Alessi, as well as Branford boys’ assistant coach and former Quinnipiac
player, AJ Alessi.
