ORANGE — The Orange Historical Society Antique Shop has received English coins minted in 1558 to 1967, but no longer in use today.
Toward the end of the 17th century, it became a custom for the bride’s parents to give the sixpence as a dowry gift to the groom.
The Antique Shop has china, vintage linens, collectibles and selected vintage jewelry for the brides, bridesmaids and graduates alike.
The shop is open every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., 605 Orange Center Road.
