Learn how a locally-connected effort is helping folks in Uganda to have clean water
The event will be held in Milford
MILFORD — Jane Holler and Dan Marecki of Uganda Farmers Inc., which a nonprofit organization that assists the rural poor in East Africa, will speak to the Freelove Baldwin Stow Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, at 7 p.m. Oct. 13.
Their program brought fresh running water to the village of Rwesigiire, Uganda. A short video will show fundraising in the U.S. and the water project as it developed in Uganda through the efforts of the Rev. Emmanuel Byaruhanga. It is his home village that is the recipient of the water and villagers no longer have to walk three miles to fetch water.
