Learn about Google online business tools in a free event coming up at the Fairfiled Public Library

The event at the Fairfield Public Library will include evaluation of the online business tools available from Google, with computer expert Alan Weaver.
"Many of the apps are free, others charge a fee. Topics will include: a preview of Docs, with spreadsheets, word processing, calendaring and more; Analytics, where you can analyze traffic to your website; and Checkout (similar to PayPal)," according to a statement.
The program will begin at 7 p.m.  held Tuesday, May 22 at 7:00 pm in the Rotary Room at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road, the statement said.
Weaver teaches computer and business courses at Housatonic Community College and is the owner of The Big Picture, a web design and hosting firm, the statement said.
The "talk is part of the Small Business Strategies series for current and prospective entrepreneurs, presented through a partnership with the Greater Bridgeport chapter of SCORE, a non-profit dedicated to helping small businesses succeed through education and mentorship," the statement said.
Podcast recordings of past Small Business Strategies presentations are available online at www.fairfieldpubliclibrary.org.
