SailQuest Boat Show coming to Milford

There’s something for everyone at SailQuest Boat Show. Both sail and power boats (including dinghies) will be available for viewing at the Milford, CT boat show.
The latest to join the list of quality exhibitors is the new J/70 Speedster (22.75ft). Bruce Tait & Associates will be offering demos of this first ramp-launchable keel boat. The J/70 is a one-design boat that is stable enough for family sailing with high performance that is exciting to sail.
In the power boat category, Destino Yachts will be on hand to showcase its beauty and durability. The Destino, a custom runabout, has classic lines and varnished mahogany finish. Destino just earned the Newport International Boat Show’s 2011 Best New Powerboat Award.
Eastern Yacht Sales at Hellier will be presenting the brand new Catalina 385 – one of the four sizes in Catalina’s new award winning 5 Series. Catalina has a long history of being one of the sailing industry’s major builders of production sailboats. There are currently four models in the Catalina 5 Series, the Catalina 445, 385, 355 and 315 – cruising yachts that are designed and built in the United States with custom features not found on many of the world’s sailboats. The move created mass appeal in the global sailing marketplace.
This unique and family-oriented show will feature new sailboats, trawlers, downeast-style powerboats and select brokerage yachts for sale, from 20 to over 50 feet long. Additionally, a variety of companies will be on-site offering small boats, gear and other products and services, including financing and insurance. Attendees will be able to take advantage of daily introduction-to-sailing opportunities, including sailing trips with certified instructors.

Previously held in Mystic Connecticut, the show has relocated to a more central location on the Connecticut coast minutes from I-95 and the Merritt Parkway, steps from Metro North Railroad and directly on Long Island Sound. The show offers free parking and free admission!
