Housatonic Community College to hold forum for veterans to learn about available resources

 

BRIDGEPORT  Housatonic Community College will hold a forum that will introduce veterans to a variety of beneficial public and private resources from 5 to 8 p.m. May 10, according to statement.

"As part of the VetsLink Connecticut "Speakers Series," the forum will provide veterans and their families with information about resources such as affordable housing, jobs, health care, education, and small business start-ups," the statement said

"HCC Veterans Representative Eunice Ramirez said attendees will have the opportunity to consult with speakers so they can get more information about the available resources," the statement said.

Speakers will include Peter G. Curtis, founder, VetsLink Connecticut; Andre Harriott, president, Keystone Bankers; Antonio St. Lorenzo, founder, Heroes Village LLC; Dan Laffin, CT Works; Rodney Davis, readjustment counselor, Danbury Veterans Center; Gloria Kautzner, counselor technician, West Haven V.A., and Richard J. Olson, past commander, American Legion.

The event will be held in the event center in Beacon Hall.
