St. Patrick’s Day Festivities Planned at Historic Perry House

STRATFORD  – There’s no better way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day than to enjoy a pint with the taste of mouth-watering, fresh corned beef while listening to the strains of live Irish music – and there’s no better place to do it than the historic Perry House in Stratford, which will be converted to an Irish pub in honor of the celebration, event organizers said.

The Perry House Foundation will again hold Irish Night at the Perry House from 5 to 8 p.m. March 17 at the house 1128 West Broad St.
The house is at the I-95 Exit 32 rotary, next to the Baldwin Center.
The event will feature the sweet sounds of the live band, "Out on a Whim", which will perform traditional Irish tunes on fiddle, guitar and penny whistle (flute), the statement said.
There will be an open bar offering tapped Irish beer, an Irish specialty drink, wine and soft drinks, the statement said.
"To top it off, Executive Chef caterers will staff a carving station serving fresh-carved corned beef sandwiches on rye throughout the night, to compliment an array of Irish soda bread, assorted snacks and cookies, coffee and tea," the statement said.
Prizes will also be raffled as part of this fund-raising event. The Foundation sponsored a similar event in 2009 and is holding it again by popular demand, the statement said.
The event is sponsored by Stratford Executive Park.
Tickets for the event are $30 (all-inclusive), tax deductible as allowed by law.
Reservations should be made by phone at (203) 377-3779; through the Foundation’s website, at http://www.perryhousestratford.org/ or directly by e-mail at perryhouse1128@sbcglobal.net.
Due to limited space, it’s suggested that reservations be made early to avoid disappointment, the statement said.
There is ample, convenient parking available onsite.
Proceeds from the event will support the operation of the Perry House Foundation, Inc. The Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 2004 to help preserve and manage the historic Perry House (c. 1690) as a visitor’s center and a facility for programs and private rentals, the statement.
