Mayor James L. Richetelli, Jr. announced today that the annual Children’s Snapper Derby will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2011 beginning at 5:00 a.m. at Lisman Landing. Sponsored by the City of Milford and the Milford Sport Fishing Association, this event is open to any child 15 years old or under and there is no fee for participation. First, second and third place prizes will be awarded for the heaviest five fish. Hot dogs and refreshments will be served at around noon and a free raffle will be held during the event. Mayor Richetelli said, “He hopes to see many children at the Derby having fun and enjoying the day with a smile.”
