Take a long walk

You'll be in good company if you do

The Orange Land Trust, in conjunction with the South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority, will hold a Fall Guided Walk on Oct. 30.
Participantas will meet at 9:30 a.m. at the Race Brook Tract parking area on Race Brook Road in Orange, organizers said. The site is just north of Route 34.
The Land Trust has arranged for a bus to take the group to the Maltby Lakes, also on Route 34, organizers said.
There, a guide from the RWA will be ready to lead the walk through the Maltby Lakes area, sharing information and teaching about its natural assets. The walk will then proceed through to the Race Brook Tract, explaining the interrelationship and history of the two areas, organizers said.
The easy to moderate walk should take about two hours. The walk will end at the Race Brook Tract parking area, organizers said.
The rain date is Nov. 13. All are welcome, and please bring a friend.
