Is your baseball card ready for its closeup?

FAIRFIELD — The Fairfield Museum and History Center, 370 Beach Road, is planning an exhibit to open this summer focusing on local baseball. The museum is asking local residents if they have items they would be willing to loan for seven months.Appropriate items are objects relating to local baseball teams in the Bridgeport-Fairfield area that played before 1950. These would include uniforms, baseball gloves, balls, bats, programs, tickets, photographs, posters and pennants prior to 1950. Items from early Little League, company and factory teams, ethnic heritage teams and semi-professional or professional teams are accepted.Although the exhibit is several months away, the museum will be selecting items to be exhibited by mid-March.Potential donors may contact the curator, Adrienne Saint-Pierre, at 203-259-1598, ext. 107 or at asaintpierre@fairfieldhs.org. The museum is open seven days a week. Visit www.fairfieldhs.org to learn more.
